Peer Review Policy
Manuscripts submitted to Studia Politica. Romanian Political Science Review are evaluated anonymously by at least 2 scholars/reviewers.
Peer review plays a crucial role in bringing academic research to publication by serving as an effective evaluation mechanism, ensuring the integrity of the publishing process. Reviewers, independent of journal affiliations and the research under consideration, contribute to enhancing the quality of research articles through constructive feedback and filtering, offering authors valuable insights and support to refine their methodologies and findings.
Reviewers are expected to:
Maintain review process confidentiality.
Promptly notify the editor of any real or potential conflicts of interest and decline reviewing if necessary.
Assist editors in making editorial decisions and help authors improve manuscripts through peer review.
Notify the editor promptly if unable to review or unqualified to assess the manuscript.
Treat submitted manuscripts as confidential and not share them without authorization.
Conduct reviews objectively, avoiding personal criticism and providing clear, supported arguments.
Identify relevant uncited published work and disclose any substantial similarity with other published data.
