Call for Papers

Studia Politica. Romanian Political Science Review publishes high-quality, peer-reviewed articles in all major areas of political science including Romanian politics, European politics, political theory, comparative politics, political sociology, public policy, international relations, and global studies. 

Founded in 2001 and focusing particularly on Central Eastern Europe, it welcomes contributions on a wide range of geographical areas and topics that aim to advance the field through both theoretical and empirical innovative studies. The journal invites submissions of original articles, book reviews for books recently published (no more than three years old), and reviews essays.  

Studia Politica is indexed in the following academic databases: 

• CEEOL (since 2005); 

• GESIS-GESIS-SSOAR (since 2005); 

• EBSCO (since 2011); 

• Scopus (since 2013); 

• ProQuest (since 2013); 

• ERIH PLUS (since 2018). 

Starting with 2021, Studia Politica will publish only articles and book reviews in English in 2 issues every year in Spring and Autumn.

Please see our manual of style before submitting. Articles should be 8.000 - 9.000 words long, book review essays should be 3.500-5.000 words, and book reviews 1.000-2.000 words.
